Go Fund Me Appeal – Petition Delivery Trip Fund!

Our brothers and sisters in Nigeria and other nearly 76 countries where consensual same-sex marriages an relationships are criminalised need us to support them for justice, freedom and equality in the hands of such homophobic, repressive and draconian governments.

Nigeria Anti-Gay Law titled The “Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Bill, 2011” was signed-in in early January 2014. It is the harshest and most punitive of the over 76 countries that criminalise Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTIs) people across the world.
Nearly 80,000 freedom lovers are demanding the repeal of Nigerian Anti Gay Law. An event  has been planned to deliver the petition signatures to Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari at the Nigeria High Commission in London on 30th September but we are struggling with funds – Can you help? Please click to donate.

We will REALLY appreciate if you can sponsor some of African Rainbow Family group’s members, the group leading the campaing To Repeal Nigeria Anti-Gay Law, from Manchester who want to attend the petition signatures’ delivery. They are asylum seekers who are not allowed to work, they live on weekly subsistence of £35! We also need to print placards, nearly 80,000 signatures and T shirts for the day,

With your help, we can make it a rainbow and successful event! Bring your banners, balloons flags etc.

If we all chip in as little as £5.00, we would reach our goal and be able to transport as many people whom have signified to attend but have limited monetary recourse.

Will you chip in as little as £5.00? Please donate generously and ask at least one of your friends to do so.

This draconian Anti-Gay Law, prohibits same-sex marriage with up to 14 years in prison, 10 years for same-sex “amorous relationships” and 10 years for membership of LGBTI rights and or LGBTI equality advocacy groups respectively.

You can also sign the petition here.

Let’s come out en mass on Wednesday, 30/09/2015 in solidarity, get to theNigeria High Commission in London WC2N 5BX (nearest tube stations: Embarkment & Charing Cross); deliver the petition signatures and pressure Muhammadu Buhari to uphold the human rights of his nation’s citizens.

This event is organised by AfricanRainbowFamily and supported by The Peter Tatchell FoundationOut & Proud Diamond Group
