Advocating for Justice: African Rainbow Family Joins Nadia Whittome MP for Lesbian Visibility Week

In a week dedicated to visibility and action, African Rainbow Family was proud to be represented at a special Lesbian Visibility Week Drop-In Event at the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 21st April.

Our Refugee Advocacy and Campaigns Manager, Adeniyi Balogun, attended the event in Room W2 at the Palace of Westminster following a personal invitation from Nadia Whittome MP on behalf of the Kaleidoscope Trust.

Adeniyi and Nadia Whittome MP shared a hearty discussion focused on the urgent issues facing our community, specifically:

  • Pathways to settlement for displaced people.
  • Safety and dignity for LGBTIQ+ refugees and people seeking asylum.

We are grateful to Nadia Whittome MP for the invitation and for standing in solidarity with our siblings. We continue to push for a migration system that ensures safety and justice for all LGBTIQ+ people.
