Our incredible month of celebrations continued this past weekend as the African Rainbow Family team and siblings came together for Coventry Pride on Sunday, 28th June 2026! It was a beautiful, uplifting day centred around community solidarity, safety, and joy.
Gathering at Fargo Village
Our day began at 11:00 am at the vibrant Fargo Village, which served as our joyful hub for the day. Siblings gathered early to catch up, share breakfast, and welcome new faces into the family. The atmosphere was buzzing with positive energy as everyone proudly put on their ARF t-shirts, getting ready to showcase our visibility and spirit.
The ARF Stall: Raising Awareness & Spreading Joy
Throughout the day, Fargo Village was home to our official ARF stall. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with members of the public, share the vital work we do advocating for LGBTIQ+ refugees and people seeking asylum, and build solidarity within the wider community.
A Space for Community Care
Beyond raising awareness, our presence at Coventry Pride was all about taking care of our family. After a wonderful day of networking and running the stall, we gathered together at Fargo Village to serve lunch to all our siblings. It provided the perfect, relaxed, and safe space to sit down, share stories, laugh, and simply enjoy being in each other’s company. Sharing these moments together is truly the heartbeat of ARF.
Thank You, Coventry!

A massive thank you to the organisers of Coventry Pride for creating such a welcoming space, to everyone who visited our stall to show their support, and to our incredible siblings who came out to spend the day together.
Our summer of community and advocacy is still going strong—stay tuned for our next update! Together, we connect, we rise, and we celebrate who we are.
