Our summer of celebration and advocacy continued as the African Rainbow Family team and siblings came together for Liverpool Pride on Saturday, 25th July 2026! It was another uplifting day filled with solidarity, high spirits, and community joy.
Gathering at Clayton Square
Our day began at Zone 2 on Clayton Square, where siblings and team members met up under Grey Flag Number 2. It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up, welcome new faces into the fold, and prepare to make our presence felt in the city centre as everyone proudly donned their ARF t-shirts.
Marching Through Liverpool
We proudly took to the streets as part of the official parade route, marching past Lord Street toward the Liverpool Experience Campus at Kings Dock. Walking together through the heart of Liverpool provided a powerful platform to showcase our visibility, celebrate our identities, and highlight our ongoing campaign for the rights of LGBTIQ+ refugees and people seeking sanctuary.
Connecting at Kings Dock & Royal Albert Dock
Following the march, we gathered around the Liverpool Experience Campus and the nearby Royal Albert Dock to relax, reconnect, and share meals together. Having safe, welcoming spaces to unwind, chat, and enjoy the daytime celebrations as a family is at the very core of what we do.
Thank You, Liverpool!
A massive thank you to the organisers of Liverpool Pride, to everyone along the parade route who cheered us on, and to all the incredible siblings who came out to spend the day together. Together, we connect, we rise, and we celebrate who we are!
