What an unforgettable weekend! African Rainbow Family turned up in full force at Birmingham Pride, with an incredible 170 of our amazing siblings completely stealing the show.
We didn’t just attend; we fully immersed ourselves in the celebration. From the very start of the march, our family brought unmatched energy, vibrant joy, and an explosion of colour to the streets of Birmingham. Walking together, chanting, and waving our banners, our presence was a powerful, beautiful reminder of the strength, resilience, and unapologetic joy of our LGBTIQ+ refugee community.
This weekend was about more than just celebration; it was about community, solidarity, and making our voices heard loud and clear. Seeing 150 of us standing together, proud and visible, showed the true power of our family.
A massive thank you to all our siblings who travelled from near and far, bringing their beautiful spirits, dancing feet, and loud voices to the march. You made it a truly magical, historic, and visible day that none of us will forget anytime soon!
