Connecting and Celebrating: African Rainbow Family Joins the WITW Event for the Salford Centenary

It has been an incredibly busy and inspiring month for the African Rainbow Family, and another major highlight was our recent attendance at the WITW event right here in Salford.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of the Salford Centenary celebrations—marking 100 historic years of Salford’s city status—the event was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect, share, and celebrate with the local community.

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Organizers

First and foremost, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the organizers of WITW. Thank you for providing ARF with the platform and opportunity to be part of such a meaningful, beautifully coordinated event. Being included in a milestone year for Salford made the experience all the more special for our team.

Making Connections That Matter

Our stand was buzzing with energy, and we were incredibly moved by the sheer number of people who stopped by to see us.

Whether you came over to learn more about our mission, find out how to support our work, or simply have a warm chat about what we do, your curiosity and kindness meant the world to us. Events like WITW remind us how vital face-to-face community spaces are for breaking down barriers, fostering understanding, and building solidarity.

Looking Forward

We left Salford Centenary’s WITW event feeling incredibly inspired, energised, and more connected to our local community than ever. Thank you to everyone who made the day so unforgettable—from the hard-working event staff to every single person who took the time to speak with us.

We are already looking forward to the next opportunity to gather, chat, and grow together.
